Kano State Polytechnic: HND Courses and Requirements (2024)

Kano state Polytechnic (KANOPOLY) is a tertiary institution owned by the Kano state Government. This polytechnic was established in 1975 and it is located in the ancient city of Kano. It is one of the oldest in the country and has division created to foster smooth running and administration.
The Kano State Polytechnic has for some couples of years gotten one of the highest number of admissions in the Northern part of Nigeria in terms of student enrollment.
The school offers both ND and HND courses. This article focuses on the HND courses in the polytechnic. It also states the requirement for gaining admission into any HND programme at KANOPOLY.
Kano state Polytechnic: HND Requirements
Before one is offered admission into the Kano State Polytechnic, there are some requirements that must be met. These include having
- National Diploma (ND) certificate in which the applicant must have at least a lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 in a relevant ND Programme.
- Aside the above, one is expected to also have a transcript from your ND programme (especially useful if applying into a different institution).
- The applicant is expected to have a minimum of twelve (12) months of supervised industrial experience and of course, 5 credit passes from O-Level. These 5 credits must be relevant to your course.
