Overview of Delta State
The State got it name after the delta region of the River Niger, which is major in the state area. Delta State was created on 27th March 1991 from the then Bendel State during the regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
Located in the coastal southern part of Nigeria, Delta State is bordered with Edo and Ondo States to the north west, Imo and Anambra to the north east, Rivers and Bayelsa States to the south east. Also, it has approximately 122 kilometres of coastline on the Atlantic ocean in the south west and south.
Asaba town is the capital of Delta state, and Warri city is the largest commercial urban area in the state. Other major towns still within the state include Agbor, Ughelli, Oleh, Ozoro, Oghara, Sapele, Koko, Burutu, Okpanam and Ogwashi-ukwu.

Aniocha North Local Government
Aniocha North LGA is one of the local government area in Delta state. It has an administrative headquarter in Issele-Uku town. There are other notable towns in Aniocha North LGA which include: Ugodor, Obomkpa, Anioma, Ubulubu, Idumuje-Unor, Issele-Mkpitime, Ugbodu, Onicha-Ukwu, Isa-Ogwashi, Issele-Azagba, Obior and Onicha-Olona.
Aniocha South Local Government

Burutu Local Government Area
Burutu Local Government is one of the Local Govt Areas that make up Delta State. It headquarter is in Burutu towns, with other towns like Forcados, Iduwuni, Ngbilebiri-Mein/ÂOgbulubiri, Obatebe, Ogulagha, Operemor, Seimibiri Toumo, Dunu-Ogusu, Edegbene, Ikorogha and Oboro making up the area.
Ethiope East Local Government Area

Ika South Local Government Area

Ndokwa West LGA is one of the 25 LGAs in Delta state with its administrative seat located in located in Kwale (Utagba-Ogbe). Other prominent towns and districts in the area include: Abbi, Ogume, Onicha-Ukwuani, Utagba, Utagbe-Uno, Ijeze, Imam-Abbi and Emu-Uno.
Okpe Local Government Area
Okpe LGA is an Urhobo local government area. It is one of the 25 LGAs of Delta state and it has an administrative headquarter in Orerokpe town. Towns in Okpe LGA include: Ajaguoyibo, Arunuse, Egbaghe Egbega-Oviri, Egbele and Obamedi.
Oshimili North Local Government Area

Patani Local Government Area

Sapele Local Government Area

Ukwuani Local Government
