Africa is blessed with great singers, song writers and other talents who are celebrities especially in the music industry.
We recently listed the best African musicians for 2023 and when you check the names on the list, you would notice the names of artiste of a particular country is dominant.
That being said, the country with the best musicians in the African continent is Nigeria with the biggest music industry and top international artistes.
We give our reasons below:
1. Nigeria has the highest number of successful music artiste and rappers. This has been confirmed as you can see here in the list of Forbes richest musicians in Africa. Names like Wizkid, Davido and Tu-face have made the country proud.
2. Apart from being rich, they are more recognised and are exposed than other African countries. Just take one music legend, Fela Anikulakpo Kuti. His Afro beat spread round the continent like wide fire and was recognised internationally.
3. Nigeria has the best and biggest music industry. Without doubt, this can’t be disputed. Any African musician that hits big in this country will make money.
4. The population of citizens of the country to other places of the world helps to push out its music and movies especially to foreign people.
5. They have the highest fan data base both on social media and also world wide. You would also notice that when a musical concert is organised by Phyno, Olamide and other top artiste abroad, the level of turn out of fans is always over whelming.
6. Other Africcan music artiste love to feature our popular musicians to gain fame and recognition not only in their country but internationally. Artiste from South Africa like Nasty C, Ghana rapper, Sarkodie are just few examples.
