Abuja is the federal capital territory of Nigeria with lots of major mineral and natural resources found there. Apart from being the seat of power of the president, you can also find various parastatals, ministries and head offices of top organizations in Abuja.
Mineral resources are raw materials which have economic importance and they can be found either on the earth surface or can be dug out from the earth through mining. Most of the natural resources in Nigeria are located in various states and have been used to improve the country’s economy.

#1. GOLD
This is the first natural resources found in the state, this solid mineral was initially discovered in Abuja in the early 90s, ever since, the state hasn’t harnessed the full use of this resources for the growth of the state and country at large.

Dolomite is a mineral composed of calcium magnesium carbonate, normally known as CaMg(CO₃)₂. Another name sometimes used for dolomitic rock type is dolostone.
#6. TENTALITE
This natural resource is a transition metal often used in the electronics industry for producing capacitors and high power resistors. You can find this in the federal capital territory.
Apart from the above, the following resources can also be found in Abuja but in low quantity: dolomite, tantalite, bauxite, zinc, lead and salt. All of these natural resources put together can serve as a steady source of income to the federal government and the country at large.
