How To Check Your Phone Number on 9MOBILE, MTN, AIRTEL & GLO Network

Mobile phone numbers can sometimes be difficult to cram especially when you have more than one new number from different telecommunication networks. Writing this post, I recalled when a friend of mine asked me for my MTN phone number and I couldn’t respond. Unluckily for me, I also did not have airtime to call his line so that my mobile number could display on his phone.


You could imagine how embarrassing that was for me that day and I had to Google out the method on how to check my MTN phone number. That was my little experience which prompted me to write this post on the USSD codes you can easily dial to retrieve your phone number on MTN, Etisalat, Airtel or Glo and 9mobile network

Easiest Method to Check Your Phone Number

Code to Check Your MTN Phone Number

In order to check your phone number with Mtn, dial *123#, select option 1 and send to select My Tools Option. Then select option 5 in My Tools to request My Number or you can dail the short code *663# and your number will display on the phone screen easily.

Code to Check Your Etisalat Phone Number

To check on Etisalat Nigeria, dial *248# and your number would be displayed on the screen.

Code to Check Your Glo Phone Number

Dial *135*8# and your number would be shown on the screen.

Code to Check Your Airtel Phone Number

To check your mobile number on the Airtel Network, dial *121# and follow the instructions on your screen. Select 1, and send for My Account option. On the next prompt, select 1 and send as My Number option and your number would be displayed for you on the screen.

Code to Check Your 9mobile Phone Number

9mobile has officially taken over from Etisalat. To check your phone number on the 9mobile network dial *248#
