Having a mobile phone is one thing while knowing your phone number is another.

Have you been in a situation when you need to give someone your MTN number and can’t provide it? Or you want to fill a form and you are requested to provide your phone number and you forgot?

Well, this post provides you the code to check your MTN phone number easily.

There are differnt methods to do this which we shall describe later but this is the fastest way to get it.

To check your MTN number, simply dail this short code *663# and your phone number will appear on the screen of your mobile phone.

You don’t need to carry your SIM pack along with you any where you go or even call the customer care agent to know your number.

Methods To Know MTN Phone Number

Aside the above short code, here are other ways to know your MTN number:

  1. If you are using a modem or phone, using the phone dialer, dail *123#, you will see various options.
  2. Select “Account Information” by pressing 1 and send.
  3. You will be presented with various options, select 1 which shows “My number” and send.
  4. Your MTN number will be sent to the display of your phone and via SMS from 131.

If the above process is too difficult for you, simply dail this direct USSD code *123*1*1# to check your mtn number. One problem I noticed with this method is that sometimes you recieve an error message.

If you are using an Android phone, you can simply go to settings then dual sim setting and you will see your number there easily.

Finally, if you are confused on the following process, you can call MTN customer care number which is 180 and wait for an agent to clarify or explain better how to know your phone number.
