Born 10th March 1957 in Kafachan, Kaduna state, Sir Emeka Offor is a Nigerian oil magnate and Entrepreneur who is a native of Oraifite, Ekausigo LGC, Anambra State, Nigeria. He is the current chairman of the board of directors of EEDC and Manager of both the ERHC and the Chrome Group.

Information on Emeka offor’s education has it that he was expelled from the Abbot Boys’ Secondary School, Anambra State. He would later enroll at the Merchant of Light Secondary School, where he obtained WAEC result.

Not much is also known on how he started his business life. It was said that his uncle trained him as an apprentice. It was in 1994, that he established the Chrome Group which operates in various sectors of the Nigerian economy.
The group has interests in oil and gas, international holdings and domestic holdings in telecommunications, power sector, and insurance industry.
Also, it is into maintenance of refineries, gas pipeline construction and digital inspection services delivery and it is known all over the world as an organization that deals in oil and gas services. The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) was established to reduce the rate of poverty, and give life-changing opportunies to the marginalized and unprivileged individuals in Nigeria. It has also emerged the most important partner of BFA because of it’s nonprofit-oriented activities.
It was founded for humanitarian purposes, to make life better and easy for the marginalized communities or groups of people in Nigeria. It’ll become the largest private book donor in Africa after the completion of the $14 million dollar book project.
