Kano is one of the thirty-six states in Nigeria. It is among the most populous and equally the leading commercial state in the country. In this article, we’ll take a gander at the local government areas and towns situated in the state.
Overview of Kano State
Kano State got its name from Kano city, the state capital. The city is an historic place that has been in existence over 1000 years. Located in Northern Nigeria, Kano State was created on March 27, 1967 from part of the Northern Region. It shares common boundary with Katsina State to the north-west, Jigawa State to the north-east, Bauchi state to the south-east and Kaduna state to the south-west.

Ajingi Local Government Area
Ajingi LGA is local government area in Kano State. It has an administrative headquarter in Ajingi town. There are other notable towns in the area which include: Gurduba, Dabin, Chula, Dundun, Kanava, Gafasa, Bafare, Kunkurawa, Bia, Ajingi and Unggawar.
Albasu Local Government Area
Albasu LGA is a Local Government Area, and it has an adminstrative headquarters in Albasu town, where the region got it name. Other prominent towns like Saya-Saya, Hungu. Tsangaya, Gagarame, Faragai, Daho, Fando, Albasu central, Bataiya and Chamarana also make up Albasu LGA.
Bagwai Local Government Area
