Its no surprise that artist that raps well and fast in Nigeria have made a name in the hip hop industry and also in Africa. One thing that makes this musicians stand out is the fact that their punch lines are unique especially those that rap in Igbo and Yoruba languages.
We have a host of Nigerian musicians who claim to be the best rappers of all time in the country, but do they stand a chance against the top rappers in the world?
We have taken our time to list those Nigerian artist that raps fast. Believe you me these top10 are the best in what they do and in fact they are even rich, winning awards and nominations on a yearly basis.

Phyno tops the list as the fastest igbo rapper in Nigeria. He mixes both English and Igbo in a unique way that beats other top rappers in the country. Although, Phyno comes from a humble background, the talented artiste has partnered with the likes of Olamide, Flavour, Burna boy and recently with Wande coal. His songs has been nominated times without numbers and he has won series of awards to show that he is the king of the lyrical rap game.
Nigerian rapper Phyno has amassed a significant haul of nominations and awards throughout his career, solidifying his place as a major force in the industry. Just like Phyno, Olamide is also one of Nigeria’s fastest rappers. His talent in the music industry has seen his fan base grow over the years. He is the richest rapper in Nigeria today and one of the fastest Yoruba rappers in the country. He has sang songs that has topped billboards and seen him won series of awards. Olamide is the owner of popular music record label, YBNL. He has also raised other upcoming young rappers in the country.
Nigerian rapper Olamide, a major figure in Afrobeats, has amassed 22 awards out of 46 nominations throughout his career. Though his first nomination was for “Next Rated” at the Headies in 2011, major wins include “Best Rap Album” and “Album of the Year” for “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” at The Headies 2014, and a historic 2023 Grammy nomination for “Best African Music Performance” with his song “Amapiano.” He’s also been recognized at the Channel O Music Video Awards, the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, and the City People Entertainment Awards, solidifying his status as a decorated and influential artist.
FALZ THE BAD GUY
Currently sitting at number three on the list is Falz popularly known as the bad guy. You might disagree but Falz has proven that rapping is so easy that his punch lines are not in this world. Although, you hear him rapping more in his natural dialect, he still raps fluently in English. Falz has been labelled as one of the best rappers in Lagos today. Some years ago, he was among the upcoming musicians in the country but today he is extremely popular.
Falz, the Nigerian rapper and actor, has amassed a collection of awards throughout his career. While nominated for “Best Collaboration of the Year” and “Best Rap Act of the Year” at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, his first win came later that year with “Best Rap Single” at The Headies for “Marry Me.” He truly broke through in 2016, winning “Best Actor in a Comedy Movie/Series” at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and the “Viewer’s Choice Best New International Act” at the BET Awards. ICE PRINCE ZAMANI
If you ask who raps more fluently between Ice Prince and M.I Abaga, we won’t be able to answer that as both artist have taken the rap game to extra heights. Ice prince is also among the best Hausa rappers in Nigeria as he is from the Hausa tribe in Niger state. There was a certain time Ice Prince was second but with the advent of Olamide and Phyno, he has been pushed to fourth. Although, he is still a relevant singer in the entertainment industry.

M.I is seen as a diss rapper, especially when speaking about others in the industry. When M.I was still in form, other rap artist could not match him in terms of speed and yet still ranks as the the best Hausa rapper, rapping in English fluently. Blaqbonez real name is Emeka Akumefule. He is a popular Nigerian rapper and singer signed to top music record label, Chocolate City. Blaqbonez is popularly known for his distinct rap style mixed with a blend of creative ingenuity. His rap song “Back in UNI” is just a testament to how talented this young rapper is in the music industry. Blaqbonez is regarded as the most underrated rapper in Nigeria.

VEC as he is popularly called, is a Lagos born Nigerian rapper and song writer. He competed with the likes of M.I and Ice Prince in the music industry before the likes of Olamide, Phyno, Blaqbonez, came into the scene. Whilst you won’t hear the name of VEC as often, he is still relevant. During the time of rugged man, mode nine, and other old rap artist, vector was a force to recon with and also one of Nigeria’s fastest rappers in his time.
Another Nigeria’s best and hottest rappers in the country is Reminisce. He raps mostly in Yoruba and is very fast. He style of music is different from the rest. People see reminisce as the fastest Yoruba rapper just like Da-grin, Olamide and SarIki.
Ladipoe ranks among Nigeria’s fastest rappers since his emergence into the music industry. He is currently signed to one of the top music record labels in the country, Mavin Records. He has featured in Cypher and has good rap punch lines that are clear and audible.
Oga Boss as he is fondly called is a talented Nigerian rapper. Although of Igbo descent, he raps in English fluently. He is respected as one of the top dogs in the music industry and is regarded as one of the best lyrical rappers in Nigeria today.

Whilst there are other fastest female rappers in Nigeria, Muna stands above the rest as she is still relevant in the music industry. She was also the former most beautiful girl in Nigeria, but entered the music industry because of her talent and love for music.
