The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was established in 1967 and just like the Nigerian Police, is a paramilitary organ under the Nigerian government whose primary function is to protect the citizens from any sort of internal threat, dangerous attacks. Lvl 11. Superintendent Cadre (SC).

Lvl 10. Deputy Superintendent Cadre (DSC).

Lvl 9. Assist. Superintendent Cadre I (ASC I).

Lvl 8. Assist. Superintendent Cadre II (ASC II).

Levels 6 through 12. Inspectorate Cadre (CIC, DCIC, ACIC, PIC, SIC, IC, AIC).

Levels 2 through 5. Assistant Cadre (CAI, CAII, CAIII).

What Rank Will A Graduate Get In The Corp with B.sc?

If you a graduate from a university in Nigeria with your B.sc, your rank will start as an Assistant Superintendent Cadre from Level 8.

If you graduated with a Higher National Diploma, you start at Level 7. Master’s Degree holders most especially lawyers start from Level 9.

Only graduates of medicine (medical doctors) rank starts with Chief Superintendent Cadre on Level 12.

How much do Civil Defence officers earn as salary for a graduate?

The salary that a graduate will earn per month depends on the rank. A Level 8 Assist. Superintendent Cadre salary is about ₦121,000 monthly while a Level 7 Inspectorate Cadre receives about ₦69,000 per month.
