We wrote earlier on the top celebrities that are famous and are known both internationally and locally in the country.

These celebrities, whether Nollywood actors and actresses or musicians that are talented have over the years built a solid reputation as the top entertainers in Africa and in the history of the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Although, not all these Nigerian music artists are famous and wealthy, they have featured in so many local and international shows and they have made names for themselves during their era as popular star musicians in Nigeria.

For example in time past, the likes of King Sunny Ade, Bright Chimezie, Onyeka Owenu, Sir Shina Peters, Fela Anikolapkokuti e.t.c, took Nigerian music to greater heights that even earned most of these past celebrities international accolades.

Victor Uwafio and King Sunny Ade, one of the most prominent musicians in the country took the world by storm with his brand of music that he was even recognized by Queen Elizabeth of England.

The lyrics of these famous Nigerian artists are second to none as they convey meaningful words and morals to be learned aside from the acoustic beats they produce for dancing and real entertainment.

In present times, modern popular Nigerian singers have shifted from the normal African cultural beats a they have been influenced by the western kind of music.

They now imitate these American celebrities by singing songs and producing beats that most old folks consider as noise. You hardly understand the lyrics as there is nothing meaningful you can gain from it.

Most present Nigerian musicians have even joined the illumunati to get fame, wealth, endorsements which have helped contributed to their net worth.

They have the highest number of fan base as copies of their CD’s sell in millions on weekly basis.
