How To Easily Detect A Hidden Camera In A Room Using Your Phone
Have you ever been in a situation where you have been spied upon through a secret webcam in a room without knowing? I am sure the answer is yes. With the advent of modern and sophisticated cameras, it is getting more easier for people’s live to be monitored and made public with the use of pinhole sized cameras.
Before I move down into details on how to detect a hidden camera in any room you find yourself, let me tell you a secret about your smartphone (most especially Android smartphones) and some of the apps you download that requires access to use location services, camera and access your file managers.
Once you allow these apps to have access to use your cameras, location services and file managers, your phone camera can be triggered on to record or take pictures even when you don’t know, your location will certainly be known and your files will be made public to whatever security or high organization that wants to track you. That is how most robbers are caught without knowing.
Without being made aware of such surveillance in advance, you could find yourself being recorded, your movements and actions tracked, judged, no doubt misinterpreted. This intrusion might be performed using professionally manufactured security cameras, or custom built ones, perhaps using a webcam with an old PC, or a Raspberry Pi. It might even be an old smartphone or tablet, re-purposed for hidden observation. What can you do about this?
In this age of smart recording devices and pinhole sized drones, always remember when staying in a hotel, that you can use this method to check your room.
