WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT FIDA

FIDA Nigeria is a non-profit, non-political, voluntary society of Nigerian women who have been called to exercise legislation. FIDA Nigeria’s main goal is to protect, promote, and safeguard women’s and children’s rights in Nigeria. Transparency, responsibility, teamwork, honesty, mutual respect, commitment, and service are its key values.

FIDA Nigeria has opened offices in 36 states around the country, as well as the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja. The National Executive Officers and employees of the National Secretariat supervise these branches, which are led by properly elected State Officers. Ambassador Aduke Alakija initially created the FIDA legal organization in 1944.

OBJECTIVES OF FIDA

• To help boost and improve the values of women and children.
• To also understand that the happiness of the family and the strength of society are both dependent on the health of women and children.
• To build positive international relations amongst all peoples based on equality and mutual respect.
• To promote the United Nations’ ideals and goals in their legal and social aspects.
• To promote comparative law research.
• In all cases of negligence involving women and children, provide advise to the authorities.

FIDA Nigeria achieves its objectives by giving destitute women and children with free legal assistance.

MISSION AND VISION OF FIDA

FIDA Nigeria’s objective is to promote, protect, and maintain women’s and children’s rights, interests, and well-being. They accomplish this by utilizing the legal framework to facilitate that they live in a society devoid of all types of discrimination, assault, and abuse.

FIDA’s vision is for a Nigerian society that is just, peaceful, and equal, with women’s and children’s rights and interests protected. They aspire to live in a society where they are free to chose and live their own lives.
